OIFE involved in the RealiseD project
From April 22-23 Alessandra Tolaccia represented OIFE at the first Multi-Stakeholder Meeting (MSM) organised by RealiseD dedicated to exploring “Rare and Ultra-Rare Disease Patient Enrolment in Clinical Trials”.

The event was designed as a forum to reflect on, validate, and further develop the #RealiseD enrollment model, by bringing together perspectives from across the rare and ultra-rare disease clinical research ecosystem.
The RealiseD project has also organised a comprehensive webinar series dedicated to clinical trials for rare diseases. The initiative attracted more than 1,150 registrations from across the globe. Patients, regulators, clinicians, academics and industry representatives joined the discussions, reflecting a strong appetite for collaboration and dialogue on how clinical research can better address the realities of rare conditions.

Allessandra also contributed to a video to spread awareness about the project and the importance of patient involvement. Watch the video below to hear the key reflections from that discussion and why working together is essential to making clinical trials more accessible for rare disease communities:
