Collaboration Call for Gene Therapy and Rare Disease Research

Hello, my name is Ayşenur Saygılı. I am currently pursuing a PhD in bioengineering in Turkey, focusing on gene therapy for rare diseases. My research primarily aims to develop innovative gene therapy strategies for the treatment of Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) and other rare genetic disorders.

My passion for science and gene therapy started at a very young age. When I was eight years old, a doctor mentioned that my sibling’s condition might be a rare disease, which was the first time I realized how complex and unique genetic disorders can be. That moment sparked my curiosity about the world of medicine and research. From that day on, I dedicated myself to understanding genetic diseases and finding potential treatments. Now, I am working toward turning this childhood dream into reality by developing effective therapeutic approaches for rare diseases.

I am currently continuing my PhD studies in Turkiye, but I am open to international collaborations to further advance my project and conduct experimental research in a supportive laboratory environment. I am particularly interested in collaborating with scientists, clinicians, and biotechnology companies working on gene therapy and rare diseases to develop impactful research projects. I am eager to collaborate with experts in the field to push the boundaries of science and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease treatments. I look forward to connecting and working together.

Best regards,
